Mark Bautista answers gay rumors for the nth time
New Kapuso star Mark Bautista said he is confident about his sexuality amid rumors that he is gay.
“As long as you’re confident about yourself… your sexuality, there’s no need for you to worry,” he said on “Showbiz Central.”
He also clarified during the “Intriga Crossfire” segment that he had no “short-lived romance” with one of the show’s hosts, Rufa Mae Quinto.
“Nag-start ‘yun sa concert ko na nag-guest [siya]. Ang sa amin naman ni Peachy (Rufa Mae’s nickname), mas friendship ‘yung sa’min,” he related.
Rufa Mae, who seemed surprised by Mark’s answer, then explained and clarified herself over her previous statement that she and Mark had “something” but didn’t push through because Mark “left.”
“Dapat. Pero ‘yun nga umalis nga siya. Supposedly lang [na may short-lived romance].
“The fact na nagte-text text ako sa kanya, nagkakayayaan… interesado din. Pero hindi nga lang nag-blossom kasi magkaibigan,” she said.
The sexy comedienne then had a relationship with one of Mark’s former co-champions on ‘ASAP,’” Erik Santos.
Mark was formally launched as a Kapuso via the pilot episode of GMA’s new Sunday noontime variety show, “Party Pilipinas.”
