Bilang bahagi ng 60th anniversary celebration ng GMA7, isang matagum­pay at bonggang-bonggang trade party ang naganap noong Huwbes ng gabi upang ipakilala ang mga bagong programa nila na patuloy na pupukaw sa puso ng maraming mga Pinoy.


Ang trade launch na ginawa sa SMX Convention Center ay pinangunahan ng pinakabago, pinakaengrande at pinaka-hip na party event sa telebisyon at mapapanood ngayong Linggo sa Party Pilipinas.

Richard ibinuking na maraming artista ang feel mag-Survivor

Forty plus days na mawawala si Richard Gutierrez sa June dahil pupunta siya sa isang isla para sa taping ng Celebrity Edition ng Survivor Philippines.

Walang maisagot si Richard sa mga nagtatanong sa isla na magiging location ng Survivor Philippines Celebrity Edition dahil hindi pa rin niya alam.

Basta ang sabi niya, maraming celebrity ang type na mag-join sa reality show na iho-host niya. Handang-handa na si Richard sa pagpunta niya sa undisclosed island.

Kaso nina Richard at Aljur ibinasura ng DOJ

Dinismiss ng Department of Justice ang kasong reckless imprudence resulting to homicide laban sa aktor na si Richard Gutierrez.

Naunang nagharap ng naturang reklamo ang isang Lorayne Pardo, ang biyuda ng isang dating personal assistant ni Richard na si Nomar Pardo na namatay sa isang car accident noong Mayo 22, 2009.

Nilagdaan ng dating kalihim ng DOJ na si Agnes Devanadera ang limang pahinang resolusyon na nagpapawalang-sala sa aktor.

Nasawi si Pardo nang sumalpok ang kotseng minamaneho rin ni Richard sa Cavite noong naka­raang taon. Nasugatan din sa aksidente ang aktor.

Kasabay nito, ibinasura rin ng DOJ ang kasong act of lasciviousness na isinampa ng isang nagnga­ngalang Michelle Saludo laban kay Aljur Abrenica.

Sinabi ng DOJ na walang basehan ang reklamo laban kay Aljur ng isang menor-de-edad na nakasama umano ng aktor sa Puerto Galera.

Iginiit ng kampo ni Aljur na hindi magagawa ng aktor ang ibinibintang ng akusado.

Richard, pumirma ng 3-year contract sa GMA

SA May 2010 pa ang expiration date ng three-year exclusive contract ni Richard Gutierrez sa GMA Network pero ni-renew kahapon ng management ang kanyang kontrata.


Another three years ang exclusive contract ni Richard sa Kapuso network at pinirmahan niya kahapon ang kontrata. Kasama ni Richard sa contract signing na ginanap sa 16th floor ang kanyang nanay at manager na si Annabelle Rama.

Present sa contract signing sina GMA 7 executives Atty. Felipe Gozon at Mr. Jimmy Duavit. Si Atty. Annette Gozon-Abrogar ang magsasabi sa publiko ng next TV project ni Richard sa Kapuso network.

Richard, dumalo sa party ng dating kaaway!

MARAMI ang nag-aabang sa pamilya Gutierrez, lalung-lalo na kay Richard Gutierrez kung darating nga ba ito sa YES! 10th year anniversary party noong Tuesday ng gabi sa NBC Tent.


Kung matatandaan, nagkaroon ng kaso sa pagitan nina Richard at ng YES! Editor-In-Chief na si Ms. Jo-Anne Maglipon at sa on-line site ng YES! magazine na PEP.ph.


Pero kailan lang, naresolbahan na ang kaso at nagkaroon ng amicable settlement sa dalawang kampo.


At ‘yun na nga, dumalo ang pamil­ya Gutierrez sa party ng Yes. Ayon nga kay Richard nang makausapng press bago ito umalis sa NBC Tent, kung ano ang natutuhan niya sa mga nangyari, “It feels great to be able to forgive and forget and to move forward and be positive.”


Nakatanggap naman daw sila ng imbitasyon kung kaya’t they made sure na lahat sila halos sa pa­milya, kasama ang kanyang ina na si Ms. Annabelle Rama at iba pang Royale Era ta­lents ay dadalo sa event.


Nang araw rin na ‘yun naganap ang story conference para sa pagsasamahan nilang movie for the first time nina Claudine Barretto at Anne Curtis for Viva Films, ang In Your Eyes.


“It’s gonna be a really good film. Very challenging for all of us and very exciting kasi, kakaibang pamilya ‘to.”


Paano raw kaya ang magiging billing nila ni Claudine?


“Ah, hindi pa namin napag-uusapan ‘yun. But of course, it’s an honor for me to work with Ms. Claudine Barretto because you know, when I was growing-up, si Ms. Claudine, she’s Superstar and up to now, she’s one of the best actresses. So, it’s an honor to be working with her.


“So, I never thought that I’ll be working with her.”

Richard, iiwan na si Heart

ATLONG araw na lang ang Full House nina Richard Gutierrez at Heart Evangelista, at siyempre, abot-tenga ang ngiti o halakhak ba, ng nanay ni Chard na si Annabelle Rama.


Eh kasi naman, matatapos ang Full House na maganda ang ratings, at sabi nga ni Bisaya, may time na ang anak niya na makapagpahinga. Eh, dapat daw sulitin ni Chard ang pahinga, dahil after noon ay raratsada na naman si Chard sa taping ng Captain Barbell.


Eh, mukhang mas excited pa si Bisaya na simu­lan ni Chard ang Captain Barbell. Pero, at the same time, medyo kabado rin daw siya, dahil alam niyang mas maraming stunts at fight scenes si Chard dito.
Well, iiwan na nga ni Richard si Heart bilang leading lady. At ngayon pa lang, iba’t ibang pangalan na ang pinipili na makapareha ni Chard.


Anyway, sa mga huling araw ng Full House, malalaman na natin kung may pag-asa pa bang matuloy sa totohanan ang “kasal” nina Justin (Richard) at Jessie (Heart) o kung mauuwi lang ba sila sa hiwalayan? Lakas loob kasing nag-alok ng kasal si Elaine (Isabel Oli) kay Justin. At walang choice si Justin kundi tanggapin ang alok ni Elaine dahil ginagamit nitong pang-blackmail ang kondisyon niya.


Samantala, malapit na ring tanggapin ni Jessie ang alok na kasal ni Luigi (Patrick Garcia).


Lumipad na nga papuntang States ang buong pamilya ni Justin dahil nami-miss na daw ni Mamita (Pilita Corrales) si Justin. Matapos maramdaman ang pangungulila ni Justin kay Jessie, pinayuhan ni Lorenzo (Ronaldo Valdez) ang anak na sundin kung ano ang nilalaman ng puso nito. Umuwi kaya pabalik ng Pilipinas si Justin?


Sa kabilang banda, pinayuhan naman ni Lisette (Sheena Halili) ang kaibigan na talikuran na ng tuluyan si Justin. Tutal naman daw, mas mahal siya ni Luigi kaya ito na lang ang piliin niya. Sa mahirap na desisyong ito, ano kaya ang gagamitin ni Jessie, ang kanyang utak o ang kanyang puso?

Richard Gutierrez arraignment in "reckless imprudence" case rescheduled for March 31

The arraignment in the "Reckless Imprudence resulting to Homicide" case against Richard Gutierrez has been rescheduled, after the actor failed to show up at the Municipal Circuit Trial Court in Silang, Cavite, yesterday, February 10.



The criminal case against the GMA-7 primetime star is the result of a May 22, 2009, car accident in Silang, Cavite, which claimed the life of Richard's personal assistant Nomar Pardo, 47. Richard was driving the car. (CLICK HERE to read related story.)



Richard's legal counsels Gener Asuncion, Ma. Lourdes Panganiban, and Sheryl Mallari presented to Judge Ma. Victoria N. Cupin-Tesorero a medical certificate stating the reason for the actor's non-appearance.



The medical certificate indicated that the actor was "physically unfit for travel" because he was "weak" with "acute gastroenteritis."



Judge Cupin-Tesorero accepted the medical certificate, thereby excusing the actor from the arraignment. When Nomar's lawyer Ombra Jainal objected to this, the judge said, "This is notarized. If this is not the truth, you go after the lawyer who notarized it."



Following regular court procedure, if the judge had not excused Richard, then the complainant—in this case, Lorayne Pardo, widow of Nomar and mother of his two children—can request the court to issue an arrest warrant against the respondent—Richard—for failing to appear on the day of the arraignment.



Lorayne Pardo was present in the February 10 proceeding.



Richard Gutierrez is expected to appear in Judge Tesorero's court on March 31, 2010, the date set for the next arraignment. Judge Tesorero said, "The court is allowing a new date because there is a medical report, provided this is the last time."



The judge added, "The last date is not transferable anymore."



UNFIT FOR TRAVEL. PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) obtained a copy of the medical certificate.



The medical certificate, dated February 9, 2010, was issued by the Oreta Medical Clinic, with address at St. Luke's Medical Center, in Quezon City. It was signed by the clinic's Medical Director Jose M. Oreta, Jr., M. D.



It was notarized by Atty. Christine S. Bio in Makati City on the same day.



According to the certificate, Gutierrez was found "physically unfit for travel" due to "acute gastroenteritis with dehydration."



The February 10 medical certificate had this in its remarks section: "Patient developed diarrhea for three days now. He is very weak with fever and signs of dehydration. He is advised to rest at home."

Richard Gutierrez and PEP finally find peace

Movie and television star Richard Gutierrez and editors of the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) website led by editor-in-chief Jo-Ann Maglipon reached an amicable settlement today, February 9, 2010, regarding the libel suit filed by the actor over an article that appeared in the PEP website on March 29, 2009.



The PEP article alleged that Gutierrez was involved "in a heated squabble with Michael Flores" during the birthday party of director Mark Reyes, an incident that turned out not to have happened and which story the website has since admitted to have been a mistake.



PEP Editors Jo-Ann Maglipon and Karen Pagsolingan and reporter Ferdinand Godinez have personally apologized to the complainant for the erroneous publication of the article. Gutierrez has accepted the apology, and the two parties have mutually agreed to amicably settle the libel case.



As part of the settlement, PEP issued this public apology:



"The Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) hereby reiterates that Mr. Richard Gutierrez was never involved in any "heated altercation" or "tutukan ng baril" with Michael Flores or with any other individual on 29 March 2009, during the party of Zorro director Mark Reyes, contrary to an article briefly uploaded on its website on the same day.



"PEP editor-in-chief Jo-Ann Maglipon, managing editor Karen Pagsolingan and staffwriter Bong Godinez acknowledge their error; repeat their assurance that they have no malicious agenda against Mr. Gutierrez; and apologize for the publication of the article and their failure to get his side of the story and for the hurt it has caused him and his family."



The settlement was reached during a meeting between Gutierrez, Maglipon, Pagsolingan, and Godinez at the office of Justice Secretary Agnes Devanadera, on which occasion Maglipon, in her behalf and that of the others in her staff, read the above apology.



Also in the presence of the Secretary Devanadera, Gutierrez accepted the apology, and later signed an affidavit of desistance.



The parties then shook hands in the presence of the Justice Secretary and media representatives to effectively end the libel suit.



It will be recalled that the Department of Justice recommended the filing of a case for Libel against Maglipon, Pagsolingan and Godinez for the subject article. With the affidavit of desistance signed, Secretary Devanadera declared the case closed.

Richard Gutierrez will perform "Papa Bear! Mama Bear!" in Full House

Meanwhile, Luigi (Patrick Garcia) will learn of the most kept secret of Justin and Jessie—that is their marriage is only on paper—no thanks to Lisette's (Sheena Halili) big mouth. This gives Luigi more confidence to pursue Jessie, who is already head over heels in love with Justin.
