Like in past interviews, dancer-actor John Prats gave a vague answer when asked recently about his failed romance with young star Shaina Magdayao.
“Ganoon pa rin ang sasabihin ko, sana maging masaya na ang lahat,” he said on “Showbiz News Ngayon,” February 19.
Shaina, in her last taped interview, expressed willingness to perform with John and maintain friendship with him.
John feels the same way. “Oo naman. Ever since naman, ganoon din naman ako, dapat huwag isama ang trabaho."
The actor is reportedly seeing beauty queen Karla Henry, which may explain he was able to move on fast from his split with Shaina.
But cliche as it may seem, John clarified that Karla’s just a friend. “Si Karla naman, na-meet ko na siya before pa uli kami nagkita sa ‘Magpasikat.’ Mabait, napakabait ni Karla. We’re really good friends. Nakakatuwa na parang nakakita ako ng bagong kaibigan.”
He’s gone out with the beauty queen but he refused to label it as romantic dates.
“Group dates,” he quipped.
Apparently still nursing a broken heart, John said it would take some time before he recovers from it.
“Matatagalan bago uli ako mag-commit kasi hindi naman biro ang relasyon kong napagdaanan. Siguro, I’m just taking my time and enjoying my single life right now kaya happy na ako.”
