Nagsimula sina Marian at Dingdong bilang TV loveteam and catapulted to instant fame via GMA7’s telenovela, “Marimar”, the Tagalized version of the Mexican series.

He was a shoo-in as the dashing Sergio, while she played the lead, stepping into the role earlier essayed by Mexican actress Thalia.

“Marimar” posted phenomenal ratings and toppled all competition on primetime TV and made an instant star of Marian Rivera. The success of the Dingdong-Marian partnership prompted the network to immediately give the young loveteam another project together.

Thus came the fantaserye, “Dyesebel”, an adaptation of a Mars Ravelo classic. He was Fredo, while she was the mermaid who fell in love with him.

Their third series was Carlo J. Caparas “Ang Babaing Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang”, an adaptation of the 1981 komiks-to-movie drama of the same title. Dingdong played Homer and Marian was Proserphine.

Theirs is undoubtedly a beautiful chemistry on the small screen. They didn’t go unnoticed even by film producers.

Regal matriarch Lily Monteverde in partnership with GMA Films producer Annette Gozon-Abrogar, gave Dingdong and Marian their launching flick Mac Alejandre’s romance-drama, “One True Love”.

What many didn’t probably expect was that the reel romance of Dingdong and Marian would turn to real, much to the delight of their fans. They became the banner loveteam of the network, one of the most sought after and most bankable too. As a pair, they also clinched several product endorsements.

While they have yet to be seen in another TV series, Dingdong and Marian are out to excite their fans as they bring romance anew to the big screen in their forthcoming film, “You To Me Are Everything”, a joint production venture of GMA Films and Regal Entertainment, the movie is directed by Mark Reyes, pamangkin ni direk Jose Javier Reyes!
