Overwhelming support for Bea, John Lloyd

KAPAMILYA love team John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo didn't expect the support and love they received from the fans in their latest movie “Miss You Like Crazy."

The movie, which had a back-to-back premiere night last Tuesday in Trinoma and SM Mega Mall, was well attended not only by fans but also their by showbiz friends.
Spotted in the event were latest love team PBB Double Up Big Winner Melisa Cantiveros and Jason Francisco (3rd placer). The two were joined by Johan Santos (4th placer) and Tibo Jumallon (5th placer).

Gretchen Barretto, Aiza Seguerra, “Rubi” star Angelica Panganiban, Rayver Cruz, Vhong Navarro, Sam Milby, and Anne Curtis also attended the premiere night at SM Mega Mall.

John Lloyd and Bea told Sun.Star that attending another premiere night and seeing the never-ending support of their fans is like doing it on the first time.

“Para akong bumabalik dati, hindi ko alam yung nangyayari. Parang first time lahat,” Bea said.

John Lloyd, for his part, said he's very happy with all the things that “Miss You Like Crazy” achieved even early on its play date and the people who did everything for their movie.

He said they are still surprise with all the support given by their fans and its a new experience for them.

“Napaka vital, napaka essential yun sa would-be-success na gusto ko ng i-claim at this point kasi kung hindi naman dahil dun sa three years na hindi kami nagkasama, it won't be the same,” he added. “Hindi ko maabot yung mga naabot ko individually as an actor kung hindi kami nag part ways.”

Bea also said they needed to grow separately and to gain wisdom, knowledge, and experience by themselves.

When asked to react on the praises they got from co-showbiz stars, their fans and all moviegoers who watched the film, both John Lloyd and Bea said there's still so much to learn.

“Mas masarap maging estudyante, masa masarap yung laging may matututunan kesa alam mo lahat,” Bea said.

John Lloyd added: “There's still so much to learn but its always nice to, somewhere a long the way, appreciate yourself, your hard work. It's always flattering to hear that, pero mas masarap mag focus dun sa mga bagay na that will continue to provide drive, intensity, eagerness and knowledge.”

“Miss You Like Crazy,” first day nationwide gross projection reached P18 million.

The two are endlessly saying their thank you to everyone who watched movies by ABS-CBN.

“If its not for them, we won't be here. It's is only right to give them good films and to make them happy,” Bea said.

“Miss You Like Crazy” is still open in over 100 theaters nationwide.

Cristine in civil terms with Carlene

AFTER doing concerts in Canada for Valentine's Day, Kapamilya star Cristine Reyes answered questions on her relationship with ex-boyfriend Dennis Trillo.

When asked on how close the former couple is right now, the sexy actress said they are still friends and the communication between the two of them remains.
"Hindi ko masasabi kung gaano ka close, basta okay naman kami, hindi naman kami kung baga nag-iiwasan or something (I can't say that we are very close but we are okay. We are not hiding or something)," she said.

Last week, Dennis said in an interview that they were able to maintain their friendship and that there are no hard feelings between them after their break-up.

Cristine meanwhile can't give any concrete answers if there's a possibilty to rekindle the relationship.

"Hindi ko pa masasagot sa ngayon kasi ayokong pangunahan yung mga pangyayari," Cristine said.

Relationship with Carlene

Now that the Kapamilya star is friends again with Dennis, news circulated that the latter's ex-girlfriend and mother of his child is starting to text Cristine again.

Cristine dismissed this issue and said that there are just people making up stories and that she and Carlene are in fact talking to each other.

"Gumagawa lang ng ibang issue yung ibang tao kasi okay naman kami eh. Naguusap naman kami kaya okay na kami (Other people are just making up stories because we are okay. We are talking to each other that's why we're okay)," she said.

The actress added that she was even asked by Carlene if they, Dennis and her, are in good terms right now.

"Tinanong nya lang ako one time 'okay lang ba kayo?' sabi ko relax lang, hindi naman kami pero naguusap, (She asked me one time, 'Are you guys okay?' I said 'relax, we're not together but we talk')" she said.

New show to replace SOP

PARTY Pilipinas will take over the slot of the long-time running Sunday noontime show SOP.

SOP started to air last February 1997 and showcased the talents of Kapuso stars for more than a decade already.

It was initially hosted by Ogie Alcasid, Janno Gibbs, Vina Morales, Cacai Velasquez, Gabby Eigenmann, and Bernadette Allyson.
Regine Velasquez and Jaya are the additions to the group. The two, with Ogie and Janno, became the forerunner of SOP.

Party Pilipinas meanwhile is set to air on March 21.

SOP hosts Regine, Jaya, Ogie, and Janno will still be part of the whole new show. They will be joined by music industry's prince and princess of RnB Jay-R and Kyla will still join the four.

La Diva composed of Jonalyn Viray, Aicelle Santos, and Maricris Garcia will still continue to make everyone's Sunday viewing fun by showing more musical production numbers.

Regine said it was sad on their part that something they really love will come to an end but it also excites them knowing something new is up for their avid supporters.

“It's really sad that its going to say goodbye, but just like everything else, it also has to end sometime,” she said.

Regine added that the ending of SOP was not an immediate move. She believes that doing a new format, a new show was being thought of by the management for quite sometime.

It was only late last year when the show was redesigned and from plain "SOP" the title was changed to "SOP Fully Charged."

With a new show, Regine said a lot will be changed and they are trying not to expect big and just want to have fun while doing the program.

"Yun lang talaga, to have fun. Let us just do our thing. Not expect anything big yet," she said. “We hope that our viewers will help us also kasi we are starting again. Sana mapasaya sila, maging proud sila ulit.”

A lot of GMA 7 artists made a name for themselves through constant exposure in "SOP." Among them were Dingdong Dantes, Jolina Magdangal, Dennis Trillo, Marvin Agustin, Mark Herras, and Jennylyn Mercado.

Mark Herras admits courting Ynna Asistio

Young actor and dancer Mark Herras appeared live on Showbiz Central yesterday, February 28, to answer the current issues involving him; particularly the status of his relationship with young actress Ynna Asistio and his thoughts on the new StarStruck winners.

SC host John "Sweet" Lapus and his three puppet co-hosts, the Echoserang Frogs, interviewed Mark for the "Sweet Talk" segment. Sweet was only there to lay in the questions, but the three puppets will serves as the analyzers, meaning that they would exclaim the word "Echos!" if they think that Mark would be giving a showbiz answer.

Mark was asked by Sweet if he at any way felt threatened by the growing number of StarStruck winners, the latest of which are Steven Silva and Sarah Lahbati.

"Hindi naman," answered Mark. "Para sa akin kasi, unang-una, natutuwa ako every time na nagkakaroon ng bagong batch na StarStruck kasi nga kumbaga, ang grupo ng StarStruck, e, lumalaki. Sa akin, hindi naman ako natatakot kasi challenge 'yon, e. Kung tingin ko na mate-threaten ako sa kanila, e, ibig sabihin dina-down ko sarili ko."

For Mark, it should be a motivation for him to do better instead.

When he was done with his answer, the three frogs screamed "Echosera!" in unison.

"Bakit n'yo naman sinabi na echosera ang sagot niya na hindi siya nate-threaten?" Sweet asked the three frogs.

"Kasi girl, I have a follow-up question," said one of the frogs. "Before, sa isang interview when Mark was asked about Sarah and Steven, sabi niya 'No comment.' Bakit ganoon?"

"Meron? Saan 'yon?" Mark asked back. "Lahat ng seniors tinanong kung sino mga bet sa StarStruck." Then he explained that he did not give a comment.

YNNA ASISTIO. The discussion now concentrated on Ynna Asistio. "Nililigawan mo na ba officially si Ynna?" asked Sweet.

"Yes po," admitted Mark.

But again, his answer was met with a unified "Echosera!" Apparently, one the frogs was farming on Facebook's Farmville and saw the accounts of Mark and Ynna and it appeared that both of their status showed "Married."

When asked to explain, Mark said, "Iyong Facebook, maraming applications at maraming puwedeng gawin. So, puwede ka naman maglaro in the meantime sa status mo. Once nag-iba ka ng status, e, marami nagre-react. Masarap lang basahin mga comments ng mga tao!"

"Actually, ang follow-up ko diyan," started Sweet, "kaya daw dinedenay n'yo na kayo na daw ay may mga Mark-Jennylyn fans daw na nagagalit kay Ynna. Ano comment mo diyan?"

"Every time talaga na nagkakaroon ako ng partner na iba, e, talagang nagre-react [ang fans]," said Mark. "Hindi mo naman sila masisisi, pero siguro din na hindi naman habambuhay at dapat matuto silang makisabay."

Well rumor has it that Mark is once again trying to get back with ex-girlfriend Jennylyn Mercado and that he supposedly gave flowers to her last February 14.

"Baka hindi ako!" laughed Mark.

But his answer was met once again with "Echosera!" and whispered something Sweet's ear. "Madalas ka daw dumalaw sa taping ng Gumapang Ka sa Lusak?" asked Sweet. (Gumapang Ka Sa Lusak is Jennylyn's afternoon soap with Dennis Trillo.)

"Noong pumunta ako doon sa taping nila, e, wala doon si Jen," explained Mark. "Ang pinuntahan ko, e, sila Mart Escudero. Kasi ang location nila ay tatlong tumbling lang mula sa bahay namin. Noong second time naman, naglalaro ako ng basketball at umagang-umaga, pinuntahan ako ng second unit director nila at sinamahan ko siya sa set, tapos biglang may isang eksena si Jen."

JENNYLYN ON-LINE. After explaining his side on his supposed visits to Jennylyn's tapings, the actress was immediately available for a reaction throgh phone patch.

But Sweet asked Jennylyn first about her reaction to the fans being hurt when she and Mark are paired or linked to other stars?

"Well, sa buhay naman namin, e, hindi ka sa isa lang napa-partner," said Jen. "Iyong iba, nag-e-experiment, at okay lang 'yon. Sana maintindihan din nila."

When asked to give a message to Mark, Jen said: "Ituloy lang niya ang magandang takbo ng kanyang trabaho. Nag-i-improve siya at galingan niya. Alagaan niya si Ynna."

So what's her comment that Mark is finally courting Ynna?

"I'm happy for him at nakahanap na siya ng tamang girl para sa kanya," said Jen. "Kung saan siya sasaya, e, nandito lang kami susuporta namin silang dalawa."
